What is two-color injection?

The so-called two-color injection molding refers to the molding method of injecting two different colors of plastic into the same mold. It can make plastic parts have two different colors, and make plastic parts show regular patterns or irregular cloud pattern colors to improve the practicality and aesthetics of plastic parts.

1. Necessary conditions.

Two-color injection molding pairing materials must meet two basic compatibility conditions, bond compatibility and injection molding process compatibility. In addition, the following requirements must be met:

Injection unit, parallel to the same direction, parallel to the opposite direction, horizontal and vertical L-type, Y-type single-cylinder injection structure;

Mixed nozzle, pattern, wave, flow mark, gradient, sandwich and other special nozzle;

Clamping die, standard type, vertical turntable type, horizontal turntable type, shaft type, manipulator rotation type and other mechanisms;

In addition to the standard hydraulic motor drive, there are ESD(ElectricScrewdrive) electric charging structure;

The oil circuit is designed with ACC accumulator high speed injection and closed circuit.

Step 2: Advantages

Compared with the traditional injection molding, the dual-material co-injection molding process has the following advantages:

Low viscosity materials can be used to reduce injection pressure;

In consideration of environmental protection, the core materials can be recycled secondary materials;

According to different use characteristics, such as thick finished leather material using soft material, core material using hard material or core material can use foam plastic to reduce weight;

Low quality core materials can be used to reduce costs;

Leather materials or core materials can use expensive and special surface properties, such as anti-electromagnetic interference, high electrical conductivity and other materials to improve product performance;

Appropriate skin materials and core materials can reduce the residual stress of molded products and increase the mechanical strength or surface properties of products.
