Key points of liquid silicone rubber mold casting design

The design of runner gating system and cold runner forming are one of the important processing characteristics of liquid silicone rubber

 

1. The cooling system inside the cold nozzle should be designed: the cold runner molding is very different from the hot runner system. The water should be designed inside the cold nozzle, and an effective heat insulation layer should be set between the mold cavity and the cold runner to isolate the temperature transfer. If the diverter is too hot, the material begins to cure before injection, and the product is prone to cracking and no glue.

 

2. The cold spout needs to be designed with a closed system for automatic production and shorter cycle: the cold spout needs to be designed with a needle valve type closing system, and the rubber mouth is designed between 0.5-0.8mm. The valve needle system needs to be designed with a height adjustable structure to facilitate the fine-tuning of flow through the needle valve.

 

The cold nozzle needs to design the glue quantity control system: for micro-products of injection silicone seals, the weight of the product is less than 1 gram, the glue quantity precision control system needs to be designed to ensure that the glue quantity in the flow channel can be controlled and adjusted.
